Founded in 1998, the Institute of Education develops educational research talent, advances interdisciplinary inquiry, and promotes international academic exchange.
The Institute was established in response to educational reform and emerging needs in education. An in-service master's program was introduced in 2000, followed by the doctoral program in the 2007–08 academic year.
