[External Announcement – Thesis Competition] Ministry of Health and Welfare’s 2026 Graduate Thesis Competition on Protective Services — Submissions Accepted Until August 31, 2026

The Ministry of Health and Welfare is organizing the 2026 Graduate Thesis Competition on Protective Services. Applications are accepted from now until August 31, 2026. Graduate students and graduates are encouraged to submit their theses. Please refer to the attached competition guidelines for detailed information.

(1) Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Hold a doctoral or master's degree and have successfully passed their thesis oral defense between August 1, 2024 and August 31, 2026 (Academic Year 2024 onward until the submission deadline).
Be graduates of a domestic university or independent college accredited by the Ministry of Education.
Hold the nationality of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
(2) Eligible Thesis Topics

Eligible submissions include doctoral and master's theses related to the following areas:

Domestic violence
Sexual assault
Sexual harassment
Child and youth protection
Elder protection
Protection of persons with disabilities
Prevention of child and youth sexual exploitation
Prevention of sexual image-related harm
Other related protective service issues
(3) Awards
1. Doctoral Thesis Category
Outstanding Award: Up to 1 recipient; certificate of award and prize of NT$40,000.
Honorable Mention Award: Up to 1 recipient; certificate of award and prize of NT$20,000.
Finalist Award: Up to 1 recipient; certificate of award and prize of NT$10,000.
2. Master's Thesis Category
Outstanding Award: Up to 1 recipient; certificate of award and prize of NT$20,000.
Honorable Mention Award: Up to 1 recipient; certificate of award and prize of NT$10,000.
Finalist Award: Up to 1 recipient; certificate of award and prize of NT$5,000.

The Ministry reserves the right to reduce the number of awards if submitted theses do not meet the required standards.
