[Campus Announcement] Conduct of Graduate Degree Examinations During Suspension of Work and Classes Due to Natural Disasters

Regarding the conduct of graduate degree examinations during periods when local governments announce the suspension of work and classes due to natural disasters, the following guidelines shall apply:

Announcement

In response to the impact of typhoons, torrential rainfall, and other natural disasters, from the date of this announcement through December 31, 2026, if a city or county government announces the suspension of work and classes, departments (institutes and degree programs) may, based on actual circumstances, conduct graduate degree oral examinations via videoconference on the scheduled examination date. This measure is intended to safeguard the personal safety of students and members of degree examination committees, while also taking into consideration transportation, travel arrangements, and scheduling coordination for the oral examination.
Degree oral examinations conducted via videoconference shall comply with the University's relevant regulations governing graduate degree examinations. The entire examination process must be video recorded and retained for future reference to ensure the fairness, integrity, and completeness of the examination.
Any matters not addressed in this announcement shall be handled in accordance with the University's applicable regulations.
