The Office of Academic Affairs announces the application procedures for master's students (including students enrolled in in-service master's programs) applying for direct admission to doctoral programs for the first semester of Academic Year 2026–2027.

Announcement:

1. Application Period

August 3 (Monday) to August 7 (Friday), 2026.

2. Application Procedures

1. Master's students (including in-service master's students) who intend to apply for direct admission to a doctoral program may download the application form from the Office of Academic Affairs website starting immediately. Applicants may indicate up to three preferred doctoral programs on the preference form (see Attachments 2 and 3).

2. During the application period, applicants must first submit the completed application form (including the program preference form) to the Registration Division, Office of Academic Affairs, where their academic records will be verified and completed.

3. Before the application deadline (August 7, 2026), applicants must submit the completed application form, together with:

(1) Two letters of recommendation from associate professors or above;
(2) Official academic transcripts; and
(3) Any additional documents required by the department or institute to which they are applying,

directly to the intended doctoral program for review.

3. Review and Admission

Depending on the number and distribution of applications, the Office of Academic Affairs may convene representatives from the relevant departments to conduct a joint allocation based on applicants' program preferences and the admission review results of each department. The final admission list will be approved by the President of the University and announced on the Office of Academic Affairs website.

Students admitted through this process will begin their doctoral studies in the first semester of Academic Year 2026–2027.
